I’ve never posted a Yarn Along before, but seeing how much you all love food, I wanted to share this sweet book. And my double stranded, slightly lumpy and very warm toddler mittens.
I can’t believe how long it’s been since I read fiction~my soul is literally drinking in the linked stories in this novel, The School of Essential Ingredients. Such pleasure, I can hardly decide whether to knit or read.

Sounds like another book that needs to go on my “to read” list! Have you read “Blessed Are the Cheesemakers” and “By Bread Alone” by Sarah Kate Lynch? Essential ingredients sounds much like those books.
Hey–happy new year! I’ve just added TEXTILES to my blog–let me know if you want to write more about knitting or have me re-blog a piece.
Ooh, I’ll look forward to those posts on Miriam’s Well. Happy New Year!
Ahhh….to knit or to read. Always a dilemma.
Fabulous mittens! Yay. I just read my first novel in a long long time, too – how funny.
